Make the working day easier.
For documents, spreadsheets, meetings and browser tools, focus on a good keyboard, clear webcam and practical connections.
Start with your work apps
Ask your employer about security, VPN and required software. A company-approved device or Windows edition may be necessary. Browser tools alone do not tell the whole story.
Comfort beats a spec race
A larger screen helps spreadsheets; a smaller laptop plus an external monitor may be better if you travel. A 1080p webcam is a useful target, but microphone and camera quality still need checking.
Memory and storage
16GB is a reasonable starting recommendation for ordinary office work. Large spreadsheets, many applications or virtual machines may justify 32GB. Choose storage for your local files, not a vague promise of future-proofing.
Check the desk setup
USB-C does not automatically mean charging or monitor support. Verify the laptop, dock, monitor and charger capabilities together.
